Backstory

My 3 year old and I went to see the Terra cotta soldiers exhibit this afternoon. She loves it; every detail on the armor, every strand of hair in a horse's mane, every tarnished green dragon on a bell or drum. The history catches me. The story of an emperor so focused on his own death and so paranoid that it might be recreated -- even in part -- after he dies, entombs the artisans that created this for him... well, it's just incredible. Not one terra cotta soldier is like another, and there are hundreds. We were awestruck.

Great story - wonderful to share it with a three year old.
