Meteorologists calling winter storms by name.

Backstory

Apparently, its because the meteorologists want someone to blame when their forecasts are way off. The current storm on its way to the Midwest, Draco, is expected to dump 14-16 inches of snow in some places. If it doesn't produce, Draco will be publicly maligned by weather teams and hastily retired!

Similar to the naming of hurricanes, I guess, and it eliminates the tendency of local weather people of making up names on the spot....like "Snowmageddon" and "Frankenstorm."
