Ordered 60th birthday cake for myself.
Backstory
In my effort to embrace this new decade birthday, I am taking advice I give to all my friends and family--celebrate your birthday all week. Lots of years I never had a bday cake because it's so close to Christmas and people are "goodied" out. So, I'm starting the week with a cake, complete with writing and flowers. Each day I'll do a little something special--not a huge to do, but something nice. This is a big deal for an introverted Capricorn, let me tell you! Go for it, A. I had a coconut cake, a strawberry cake, and a chocolate ganache cake. The bakery was also a restaurant, so I went with a friend and ordered slices to sample before my final choices. Pick your favorite and indulge. You will be sixty only once. Party hard!Dragonflower says,
A Palindrome! That's what I was thinking of. And I didn't think it was quite right, because backwards it would be 21-22-21. These kinds of brain teasers were never my cup of tea! I do like that it has all the twos. Maybe I'll buy a lottery ticket using numbers ending in 2. When my daughter goes to Tahoe or LV, I always tell her to play black 22. And YES, NumbrOneAunt - Spending my birthday with my daughter is always my best present!! The Birthday Closet! That's cute. That sums it up pretty well....feeling embarassed or something because my birthday interrupts everyone's holiday prep... My cake is lemon chiffon (they only make this at holiday time! so yay!) with coconut and lemon buttercream filling.
