Dragonflower says,

What a powerful picture. I only saw it today (Monday). Your memoir alone had me crying on Friday. Had I seen the picture too, I would have become completely undone. Thank you for such a moving memoir and visual. It is comforting, in a sad way.

Dragonflower says,

My condolences to you over the loss of your friend. It is very hard when children lose their mother at a young age. And even at 24. I lost my parents at a young age--my mom at 12 and my dad at 22. In my day, we didn't talk about our feelings; we were supposed to just carry on. Sometimes I think all that unexpressed grief spills out whenever I hear of others losses. Thankfully, today people are more aware that children grieve too. You will be a thoughtful and kind support person for that family, I am sure.

Connecticut is just a whole different level of grief though.

jl333 says,

Truly a powerful memoir and picture.
