Backstory
Okay, I understand having a crush, after all, I am a teen girl. But what I think is stupid is all these little kids "dating" and "going out". Its dumb. Its okay to like someone, just dont try to date when you're in fifth grade! You dont even know what dating is yet! Yes! My step sister (who's now 11) had a little boyfriend over the summer and they were "in love." Their version of dating was going and playing at the park because they weren't allowed to do anything else and they wouldn't hold hands or kiss (thankfully) because they thought it was gross...I thought it was the funniest thing in the world because I'm 18 and I don't even know what love is and a lot of people don't until they're much older.

When my daughters were that age, they began to talk like that and I shot them down right away, told them "dating" and "boyfriends" and all that stuff was for when you were lots older and that those were the wrong words to use because they weren't dating and didn't really even know what that was all about yet.They then became the "know-it-alls" who put their friends in their place when they talked about dating.
