"Who told you I was looking?!"

Backstory

There are people in my life who persist in sending me emails or facebook messages...or calling on the phone, even...to say "so-and-so is hiring." And then they will give me a lengthy discourse on the work, the place, the potential, and how suited for the position I would be and vice versa.

I'm sorry....I have a job. And I like my job. Really.

Wench says,

Gotta love that sort of 'help'...

accidentaltourist says,

It happened again just last night, after I had posted this. An office I visit regularly in the course of my job (you know, the one I like?) was missing a regular worker, so I asked where she was. The remaining staff was evasive, but enough hints were dropped that I could connect the dots and determine she'd been arrested on some serious charges...and thus would not be returning. When I told the story later, my listener launched into "that's a great job! pays well, has benefits, you should..." etc.

Seriously? *sigh*
