I rarely state my opinion because I have rebuke-phobia. I admire people who just state what they feel as long as they don't insist I must agree with them.
I grew up being told "if you can't say anything nice...." which was confusing to me. Because sometimes I would say something that I thought was "honest" but then be told it wasn't "nice". So I learned it was better to just not say anything at all. Somehow through all that confusion, I managed to raise a daughter who says what she thinks. But she is good at it. She never offends anyone and she is told the same as notjustagirl--that's she's very honest. I think Mr. Rogers helped and Seseme Street--I learned a lot about communicating while watching those shows with her. :)
these six words leapt out from the sermon I heard in church this morning. Thanks Pastor Jodi. (I attend a Baptist church which has two lady ministers on the pastoral team.)We can live with peace and joy no matter...

Lots of folks feel what you describe. I'm with you- anyone can have an opinion - I don't need to be persuaded that it's "right".notjustagirlintheworld says,
