I don't have the patience for transcendental meditation ( I may train for that someday ). There are some meditations that I do purposefully before bed to help with sleep. Meditative prayer, a focus on peace, love/kindness. That is typically the time I include prayers for loved ones, news stories, not so loved ones and I either give gratitude or ask forgiveness for moments of ingratitude.
Last weekend I met an amazing woman. She is the cantor at the synagogue where my nephew was bar mitzvahed. When she found out we were from Philly, she came over to our table at the luncheon to play ‘Jewish...
