"Boys will be boys." Really now?

Backstory

Finally decided to report bullying to administration and their response was "well that's just how high school boys are, it's normal"
Really? It's normal for kids to call each other names and push them into lockers?

Thats the the way they decided to handle it. Just let it go and when something does happen what would their answer be than? You did the right thing it is their responsibility.

Unfortunately that's how the administration thinks. Last year, my daughter had another girl who was a bully / stalker .... even after a very loud and in front of several other people confrontation the school's explanation was that "teenage girls are all drama - they need to sort it out themselves". This incident was bad enough that one of my daughter's friends called me at work and asked me to come get my daughter out of school because they were afraid of what stalker girl would do later in the day. Luckily for us, the girl moved out of state a few weeks after the incident.

Sorry that you have to experience the bullying.

This is so wrong on so many levels. Sure, let's just sweep the bullying under the rug and nobody will notice.

Unfortunately this is how it's been at every school I've gone to, of course until I decide to fight back then I"m the one to get in trouble. And I go to the school that is used as the good example for our area for bullying and harassment policies...
I had one teacher that had heard about it tell me that "for someone who's trying to fly under the radar you sure are putting yourself out there, maybe that's why you're having such a hard time."
