Undelivered Letter to my dying son

Backstory

Dear Son:
I agonizingly accept your “decision”. There is probably nothing more excruciatingly painful than mourning someone you have devoted your entire life to and not being able to say goodbye. I want so much to share the precious few moments that remain in your life… to give you comfort and support, to tell you I love you and how grateful I am for your part in my life. The moment you were born we began a very short journey through time. Both our voyages will last but a mere millisecond in the history of time, I will miss you for an eternity. I am thankful for all I learned from you on the journey, for all we shared; for your love. You will be in my heart as long as I shall live.
