Truly grateful for central heat renaissance.

Backstory

The family vacation house in Florida was built by hand, by my husband's great grandfather, back in the 1920's. It is my favorite place to lose time. Small, but comfortable, with three bedrooms. The walls are all paneled in Florida
cypress. The house is mostly furnished with antiques,
which were the toss outs of family members 50+ years
ago. We survived a major Florida freeze here when
Channing was just a baby. Had only small ceramic
heaters back then and could only use two at a time
without tripping a breaker. We all huddled in bed at
night, the three of us and Sam, the wonder dog. About
three years ago, my husband's cousins gentrified the
house a bit. Added new appliances, a real counter and
track lighting to the kitchen. One cousin owns a heating
and air conditionng company and installed central heat
and air. It has reduced the number of potential memorable nights down here but it sure is a lot more comfortable as I ease my way through middle age.

Love the backstory. Love even more the idea of a family vacation house.
