At this time of the year, I just take the first park I see and walk. I'm lucky to have two strong legs, so I just walk instead of driving round and round for a close park.
I hear you on that mzejay! I too, always head towards the back of the parking lot, where I know there will be ample parking. Seems silly wasting time and gas to get a few spots closer. Besides, it's healthier to park further away and get those few extra steps in. It's a win-win!
