Still better than going to Auntie's.

Backstory

Every year we go to my auntie Shell's house for thanksgiving. We have to deal with screaming kids and crude in-laws. The family is too discombobulated to say a thanksgiving prayer. Or my uncle will stand up and start crying about how our grandmother isn't with us anymore.

This year my family has decided to be different. After an hour of bickering in the car, we have journeyed to the Big Apple. We're standing on the side of 52nd waiting for the floats to roll by. & after all that it is still better than auntie Shell's.

I read this memoir right after I posted, Bucket List, Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. Lucky you.

It's fun. It's cool to see the floats and the balloons underneath. 100% different than watching it on tv.
