Might I suggest volunteering at a soup kitchen feeding the needy on Thanksgiving? Volunteering gives me a feeling that I can't explain and if the option is being alone youself...... Just sayin'
Great suggestion lovelylizard! I would just bop in and put on my apron and gloves and start serving. Would so enjoy it, especially the little kids getting a decent meal. Makes my heart feel so warm. I would sneak them seconds as well.
In past, a bunch of us single people without plans would gather together to celebrate. Potluck dinner often with fried chicken instead of turkey or a frozen entree from Lean Cuisine or the sort. Tasted delicious because it was flavored with new friendships. Awesome that you still have hope. Thankful for the connections made here. Happy Thanksgiving Vicki!
Hope is life's way of moving us forward and that, despite what today looks like, there is always something to be grateful for. Wishing you better tomorrows.
these six words leapt out from the sermon I heard in church this morning. Thanks Pastor Jodi. (I attend a Baptist church which has two lady ministers on the pastoral team.)We can live with peace and joy no matter...

Hope is one of the greatest four letter words. I love this quote:“Rules for Happiness:
something to do,
someone to love,
something to hope for.”

Know the family of man sharing turkey. And in such sharing, hope manifests as love. Hope is the verb of longing. Love is the verb of doing.DynamicDbytheC says,
No family = no dysfunction or drunken Uncle Al. No turkey = no calories. Hope is not fattening and it is very lite/light.maryjane31 says,
Funny how we all have a strange uncle or two roaming around.favepeep says,
