Goliath discovering David holds the aces.

Backstory

The strata management company that services the unit block that I live in is, by Australian standards, big. They're probably not used to their fees and methods of operation being questioned, but questioned they have. My fellow executive committee members of our owners corporation and I decided to test the waters to see if we could find a better deal elsewhere. We didn't have to look far. Being the magnanimous "Davids" that we are, we decided to let "Goliath" try to match the best quote we had received. Their response was in the affirmative money-wise, but on the condition that a three-year deal is entered into. Not quite as good as our best (no fixed-term contract) offer, but much better than the terms under which we currently operate. Suddenly, Goliath's not so tough. :-)
