Not every knitter listens to Irish-Rock.
Backstory
I took my oldest daughter to my favorite knitting store yesterday. I'm there a lot, so certain things start to blend a little. One of those things is the music on the shop's radio. My daughter got comfy and grabbed some yarn off a shelf, a crochet hook, and sat down as if she owned the joint. It was a fairly quiet day at the store, and taking my daughter's lead, I sat down and started knitting. (A hat, of course.) The knitting store owner joined us and we all got a little bit lost in conversation.I'm quite close with both of my daughters, but as we left I couldn't quite remember the last time I had just simply lost track of time talking with my oldest. She's had a rough time in school lately. She's far too much of an individualist to fit in. She remarked how that particular knitting store owner was different, and how much she liked that. "Not every knitter listens to Irish-Rock."
I wondered as I drove us home if the store owner realized what she really sold me.
Yarn: $18.95
Crochet hook: $2.25
Time with my little girl: Priceless
My bet is that she did.

This is great. I can't wait for moments like this. Also, I love Irish rock. I used to see Flogging Molly every time they came to town. =Pfavepeep says,
