Calm before storm? Heck, I'm panicked!

Backstory

Hurricane Sandy: Top floor, single pane windows, strongly swaying my opinion. On the other hand, I'll be in good company. We already planned a light (pun intended) dinner get-together down in the lobby, power or not, for Monday night, the expected worst of the storm.

Due to predicted flooding though, perhaps we should rethink the location, and move it up to the 2nd floor...you know, just in case...

An ideal dessert, ice cream, rootbeer, to make, of all things, floats. Actually scratch that; ice cream melts. I'll use Parmalat brand milk which is shelf stable thanks to googling "How to make a rootbeer float without ice cream?"

Plan ahead, yes. Overthink, most definitely.
