notjustagirlintheworld says,

if you can find that, I think the full moon has everyone extra crazy

Wench says,

Without a car, the closest 'grocery store' a gas station, we did what I only do in times of desperation - bought enriched wheat bread. Half of me expects a lot of rain and not as much actual damage, half of me is honestly getting a little nervous. It gets to our area tomorrow night.

bethroddy says,

I was disappointed -- there was ample peanut butter, bread, batteries, bottled water and no high sense of urgency at the grocery store. But the NYC MTA has sent me three emails about the storm "bearing down" -- which is a little freaky: "Planning for an orderly suspension of all subway, bus & commuter railroad service, if Hurricane Sandy continues to bear down on the area."

accidentaltourist says,

A loaf of white, and one of wheat...I'm good.

canadafreeze says,

Far away from the storm, but thinking of the many who will be affected. Warm and safe thoughts being sent your way.

bethroddy says,

thanks @canadafreeze! I'm 1/2 block away from the mandatory evacuation area, in NYC but i'm hankering down with homemade pulled pork, 2 mini flashlights, 1 case of seltzer, and a bathtub full of water -- and my two kitties!

jl333 says,

Somebody follow that truck and don't let it out of your sight!

jl333 says,

That picture should be my profile picture!

On a more serious note...hope all those affeted by Dear ole Sandy can hunker down and ride this one out.

bethroddy says,

haha, i would kidnap that truck to get al the lil' debbies! but I've killed my junk food quota for Sandy -- back to relatively healthy fare. still working from home and cold showers, but not too bad at all. thanks @jl333 for asking.
