Better than I expected or deserve

Backstory

College changed everything. Afterwards, in 1986, Charlotte, NC was the land of milk and honey and I managed to get in the newspaper business. I met my wife in a photo class, got married 7 years later, and that was 15 years ago.

Wrote two books, worked for a magazine or three, a wonderful non-profit organization that taught music and art to kids, and, for the time being and past 8 years, find myself at an NPR affiliate radio station. That's all about to change...

It's honest work and it keeps me in travel and music, sometimes together. So to quote the legendary Joe Walsh, "I can't complain, but sometimes I still do" and life is definitely better than I expected or deserve.
