Can't change stripes? Bought new dress.
Backstory
Take that! This weekend has been about waking up and digging out of my fashion rut. At lunch yesterday, sitting around with a group of colleagues, I realized that I had adopted the "Middle-aged Mom from Minnesota" look: chin length bob, neutral top with a chunky necklace or scarf, intellectual yet "stylish" glasses, and I thought. "NOOOOOOOOooooooo!"So, last night, I went and had several inches of hair cut off my head. No more bob. And today I went to the mall and bought a blue/black combo shirt (very "in" for fall) and a black, white, tan, and green dress with zigzagged striped pattern (it is cuter than it sounds).
I almost can't wait for lunch on Monday.
