Tomato sandwiches remind me of my favorite childhood herione: Harriet the Spy. She would pack tomato sandwiches on white bread with mayo and take copious notes on everyone she came across. She was AWESOME!
Tomatoes still going strong here. We ate tomatoes until Thanksgiving last year...picked all of the green ones before frost, wrapped them in newspaper and stored in baskets in the garage.
