Transplanted New Jerseyite. I have looked back and miss having my friends over. However you are right, Florida is Paradise as far as we are concerned. Love the beach as it heals just about anything just being by it. Would never even think of going back. I have a home that would sell for 500,000 dollars and here in Florida we paid under 200,000.

My quality of life is infinitely better here. Close to the beach too. Living inland would suck!

Jealous of your proximity to water ...

accidentaltourist says,

I share CF's jealousy.

marymc says,

I went from NY to NY to CA and back to NY. CA wasn't for me, even walking distance from the beach. I'd rather be here.

lovelylizard says,

NY for me was Long Island, which is not my idea of fun. At this stage of my life, I'm in the perfect place for fun and mid-life (make that late-mid-life crisis) with a lot of other single people with no kids or grown kids. It's time for the adults to live it up!
