just read an article (somewhere) about the phenomenon of women finding 'new' careers at 50 it seems there is some kind of biological imperative that correlates to the empty nester time (though my nest still runneth over) but is equally true of childfree 50 something women

Nicely said. Congrats on the MOTD.

Powerful and nicely written. From my observations with friends and co-workers, this event seems much harder on women. Hope mom will be celebrating soon.

Well said - and congrats on the MOTD. I'm curious what Mom re-evaluates. I know that many women change careers, some leave spouses or reinvigorate marriages, and some go back to school. There's a lot of opportunity in graduations and new beginnings. It's hard NOT to look forward when something ends!

I'm also curious what Mom (you?) is re-evaluating. Congrats on the MOTD.

Re-evaluating career moves and writing opportunities... thank God, marriage is wonderful!!! Thanks for asking!!
