Backstory
A box of gifts arrived at my door, Mulberry jam, strawberry sauce, fresh coffee beans, and hand-knit hats. In it were gifts from someone at Smithmag. James said to me, "looks like you have profited from writing." I said it is not the monetary value, but the fact that what I wrote touched this kind of person. A generous, talented person who practices random acts of kindness!!!

Love the fact that somebody took the time to create a 'care package' for you. We should all practice random acts of kindness.Level1 says,

I guess we have bullies and angels here. So glad I got to the angel. I enjoy the little devils, too.JAD says,
once again you are deserving.L2L3 says,
Givers and takers coexist here. The givers are much more fun. Or is that sinners, Billy Joel?L2L3 says,
Congratulations on the featured backstory!ctgoods2 says,

believe in kind hearts and good people. lovely memoir :)SolitaryMan says,
Am I the only one here who would have checked for explosives and bio weapons? And who puts their address on a message board?Wench says,
You might be. I have personally received gifts for my son from two different members here - bombs never crossed my mind. And the gifts were exactly what they'd said they'd be. I tend to believe that the good-natured kindness expressed here translates to 'real life' as well. =)Believe says,
I agree with Solitary. You can't trust these people. I know I worry about recieving bio weapons in the mail from people claiming to be my friends all the time. Some of you will pick up on the sarcasm laced with irony. Others will not.
Believe says,
Now for that package I'm sending to Dhani.....JOKING!! Dhani, I promise not to send you bio weapons.

Who puts their address and cellphone number on a message board? Someone who is completely TRANSPARENT, FEARLESS and FREE!, that's who!canadafreeze says,
