lovelylizard says,

It's summer - who needs socks?

jl333 says,

Seriously, I have the same problem over here!

lovelylizard says,

hmmmm, this may warrant an investigation....

Level1 says,

Off having intersockal relationships.

notjustagirlintheworld says,

Level, I like your thinking especially since it will perpetuate the spices :D

ctgoods2 says,

Love intersockal relationships...
I like to think the missing socs are all in sock heaven, which happens to be the inside of my bathrobe sleeve.

Dhani says,

(True memoir: Probably in the over-stuffed drawer of old, mended socks I inherited from my father after he passed. He always liked to joke about leaving me NOTHING, which turned out to be true, God bless him.)

oopsalittle says,

I think I have some of yours here....
Kudos

DynamicDbytheC says,

In my sock box. Yes, I have a "sock box" for all the "misfit toys." Every now and then I get a match. Once, it was a year later for a favorite wool sock that I had bought for my husband. It showed up after I washed his winter bike pants. Usually he wears bike shorts and maybe once a year bike pants (good for me, I love his legs).

accidentaltourist says,

You know that the day after you finally toss that single sock its mate will return for it, right?

notjustagirlintheworld says,

I am afraid I am guilty of breaking up many a sock couple with my impatience. I tend to give up too easily where socks are concerned. I should take a page from Dynamic's book. My daughter is always lamenting that I 'throw (or give) everything away' but I hate clutter -- visual noise. I remind her that she will thank me when I am old and she has to move her cranky mother out of her house. She finds little comfort in this...

canadafreeze says,

My grandson solved the problem when he was little. To him, a pair means two socks. End of story. He reaches in the drawer and pulls out two socks, matching colour or design? Never. In fact, it has become his trademark - wearing mismatched socks. He's a young adult and my favourite picture of him is a self portrait of his feet in holey socks. I love it.

DynamicDbytheC says,

Who knew socks could have so much meaning. Love the picture of canadafreeze's son in mismatched socks. And notjustagirlintheworld's daughter longing for a favorite pair of socks. I too hate clutter, I use a small show box and limit it to that.

notjustagirlintheworld says,

My daughter NEVER matches her socks, too lazy. I confess that I don't make much of an effort to match hers when I do her laundry, I just toss them in the basket with those tiny little things she calls 'underwear.'
