Backstory

For this exercise, the Space Campers were given a challenge: build a heat shield that can withstand the heat from a torch on full-blast and protect an egg just on the other side from being cooked. The shield represents the skin of a spacecraft and the egg represents the astronaut, so what seems like a goofy experiment actually has very, very important real-life (and life saving) meaning.
