Movie theater solo...I'm not creepy.

Backstory

WELL...I am going to see Hunger Games, which IS adapted from a young adult novel...

But everyone I know has already seen it and I want to see it, dammit. No shame. I'm getting a jumbo popcorn also. Pre-teens and teens please leave me alone and do not judge.

TheAngstyPoet says,

The first time I went to the movies alone, I was like ehhh. I had that paranoia where it was sort of like everyone is looking at the lonely person. But then I got over it and even went to dinner by myself. To be honest it's a nice change of pace.

Not to mention it's a very good movie. The book (like always) is better. The Hunger Games is very nice spin on Lord of the Flies or the more modern Battle Royale. Also it's very well paced and captivating.

I go to movies all the time by myself. Love the peace and quiet. Not creepy by any means.

Wench says,

Before we started dating, my husband went to see every movie that came out by himself, even if it looked terrible, just to have something to do.

Bevvie says,

Exactly how I feel when I see Twilight movies alone. And add, pre-teens and teens don't sit near me and talk!
