Must be old, inflation shocks me!

Backstory

I can't be the only one who goes to the grocery store and is amazed at the total and the relatively few number of bags. When did Kias and Hyundais become 25K cars? And filling up with gas needs a bill with Ben Franklin on it? Are teenagers asking their parents for $100 for gas??? I stammered asking for $10 or $20 I can't even imagine being a kid today. At 7.50 an hour you'd have to work 15 hours just to pay for the cost of getting to the job!
If this gets any worse, it would be cheaper for parents to pay their kid to stay home and not work.

Believe says,

What I love is the whole new category of food that seems to be a necessity. Organic. Used to be that apples fit in the palm of your hand. Now they have doubled in size ( much like many waistlines, hmmm?) today when you go to the grocery store you get to choose between the poisonous apple, or the insanely priced apple that hasn't been genetically modified. Think groceries are expensive now? Buy organic. Then realize that your food bill and your mortgage are about even.
