Prayed. Somebody snubbed me. I swore.

ton says,

Please don't stop. It works.

KharisJo says,

i like the fact that you see value in prayer, even if seemingly unanswered. I'm with ton, i believe that prayer is answered, although not always directly. for me spirituality is found in prayer, also reading the bible and Christian teaching in a church setting, also in observing nature.

Dhani says,

I assume you pray to Someone -God, Yahweh, Buddha, Allah, Tao? When I had cancer & was suffering excruciating pain & literally screaming out lou to God, cursing & blessing Her at the same time, I learned that God DOES answer, but in HER time, not mine.

After two years I got my answer: I was totally free of cancer. Prayer works.

There's a wonderful line in A Course in Miracles:

'INFINITE PATIENCE PRODUCES IMMEDIATE RESULTS' (!) Think about it.

JohnBigJohn says,

Fantastic responses! My meaning is that the act of prayer is such a deep leap of faith. We reach for the unseen and we pin our hopes that our needs are logged somewhere. I am a believer in God as well, and I know that my prayers are heard..but there are days when having faith in the process takes a bit more strength than others.

Thanks for the replies! And by the way A Course In Miracles is amazing!

Susan_Breeden says,

Keep praying. The answers are forthcoming (that's what believe when my prayers go unanswered).
