I'm the only friend I have.

Backstory

I take care of people, that's what I do. I enjoy it. I love being needed. I love to serve.

But ask me this... Who takes care of me?

Who makes sure MY car is running safely?
Who makes sure I eat a healthy meal?
Who makes sure MY clothes are clean?
Who jumps up and defends ME?
Who puts gas in MY car?
Who washes MY dishes?
Who reads to ME?
Who brings me cards or flowers?
Who wants to be the last person to go to bed, to turn everything off and plug everything in?

I do...

I'm the only one who cares about me. And I'm too busy serving others that I often overlook what I need so desperately...

yep,

I'm the only friend I have.

Dhani says,

*That's so untrue on its surface and inside yourself.

Believe says,

Very familiar thought. Someone must call you 'mom'.

DynamicDbytheC says,

This makes me sad.

SweetBea says,

I have been mom, doctor, wife, therapist, teacher... But "spoiled" I have never been.

Dhani says,

Never say never..but who inferred you are 'spoiled'? I'll tell you who your best Friend when you state first who you believe your SOURCE is, a deal? When people believe in Nothing, I think they should state that clearly.

Sweet Pea, no doubt you're as sweet as your 'mask', but you are not alone. As I ponder under the same canvas of stars as you, I'd say your best friend is your 'Creator', whoever you believe 'She' is! Best wishes, Dhani

Dhani says,

What a blind jerk I am! Just spotted your heart-filled photo. God's sweetness is your gift. Sorry...

Dhani says,

Biking is my passion too...

DynamicDbytheC says,

I want to be your friend. Then this will no longer be true.
