Hi Banjo Dan! Some people would assume that the memoir was a typo...but nope! I know of people who use gobs and gobs of butter...almost more butter than the food on their plate!
This is so funny because I love butter and could easily slather it on so you can't even see the muffin. Would do that if it didn't cause a "muffin top." My friends toddler used to try to eat the butter cubes at restaurants.
I was turned off by globs of butter when I went to a friends house for breakfast. She was making scrambled eggs. But when she added milk AND butter, I was a bit turned off by it. Then to top it off, she added loads of cheese on top. Thank goodness Dr.Oz wasn't coming over for breakfast that morning. I normally don't count calories, but I don't even want to know what the calorie intake was that day!
I would have lost my appetite with those eggs, too. What a waste of butter, you really can't even taste it. Why not chives or other seasonings to bring the scrambled eggs to life. Reminds me of my mother-in-law. When we visited, she finally made some vegetables after our request and then put a half a stick of butter in the pan. The greens were more yellow-butter than green.
these six words leapt out from the sermon I heard in church this morning. Thanks Pastor Jodi. (I attend a Baptist church which has two lady ministers on the pastoral team.)We can live with peace and joy no matter...

I've had the same experience too D! Makes me feel like it's useless eating the veggies because they are saturated in butter!
