Please keep writing and finding productive outlets for your pain. Unfortunately pain is part of life and you are having to discover that sooner than later. Learn skills now so you can deal with it throughout life. The good news is that passions, love, laughter, friends are intertwined in the ribbon of life and overshadow the pain (most of the time).

MrsLebo says,

Familiar story. Making better other choices now. It's not always easy, but the more we talk with our words rather than talk via marks up and down our arms (or any other body part), the more we spread hope. Hang on to hope. Be a light in this dark world. You're not alone... spread the news!!!

BecomingLogyn says,

This (and other equally harmful things) have been my only outlets for over 5 years now, I don't know any other ways of being able to handle everything that's going on. Every time I was put in the hospital for it they told me pretty much the same thing that I hear whenever someone finds out about it and it worked long enough for them to turn their backs again.

MrsPremise says,

I think what (loving) people are trying to tell you is how important it is to create your own strength as you go. We've all wanted to be rescued many times in our lives, but kind words are just that. Getting well and healing is like homework, a job--you have to do the work to get the results. The good news is that more people talk openly about their mental/emotional health challenges now. Even on a bad day, I know exactly what I should be doing to make it better. We just want to share that with you now because we know it works.
