My friend committed suicide about 7 months ago and it's hard for me to comment on this but I feel like I must. Yes, you're right it's incredibly selfish. But sometimes when someone is really depressed, they actually think they're doing us a favor. It's pretty sad.

It's selfish to say that a person, who feels so helpless that they want to end their life, is "selfish". Why do you think of yourself when THEY were obviously suffering! Love their memory for who they are, instead of hating the because they took something away from YOU! They're selfish? HA!
