Not confused, just wondering if you have more creativity in, perhaps, other areas. You seem to linger here only to say, " here, look at me. " ah well, even negative attention is still attention, isn't it? Maybe you're just another victim of poor parenting, or maybe you posted that comment to make them proud. Rather pathetic either way, as is your screen name. A better term might be scream name, since it screams for attention.
Guess what L2L3? You're trying to bait me and you know what? All I wanted was some new friends.and since u ain't one,f#$& u and everything you stand for.I don't need to know u!
I guess I have to leave.I like all the rest of my new friends but I will not fuck withthis fool anymore.I do not need to be messed with on the web especially since if this fuckface met me in person....I gave you my address, put it out toto the whole. web....i'll fly to you chickenshit
I'm not sure if I'm missing something here, but why did the three original commenters feel compelled to comment at all and in the tones they used? I have NEVER commented negatively on someone's memoir or (as did two of the commenters) used it as a way to attack the memoir's writer. I don't agree with the violent reaction from hungry, but OBVIOUSLY he is a sensitive person. I just don't know how people could miss that detail? So why poke and prod him? Because you can? Because you're bored? Had a bad day?
Odd part about the whole thing is that everyone on the comment list of this memoir, including hungry, are generally non confrontational posters. Let's call this water under a bridge and all go in for a group huh. Make that hug. Damn autocorrect.
Hungry, you sound like a very strange animal, with a strong emphasis on the word- STRANGE. But hang around, mate, perhaps we need weirdos like you in a our lives to liven things up a bit!
For those of you who are perhaps feeling critical of my comment(s), let me say that I didn't lash out blindly or without impetus. I doubt that most saw all the related comments or posts, as they seem to have disappeared rather abruptly, not to mention unpublicized comments. Since some of you seem to support this one's name-calling, I don't expect any criticism if I indulge as well, or can I expect everyone to jump on the "pity the kid" bandwagon? I did not throw the first stone. Oh, and for crying out loud, if you're going to criticize or complain about someone, do it directly. The comments that vaguely refer to something without naming it don't usually accomplish much.
I sort of think hungry4abullet was seeking a spirited discussuion and got it.
In terms of personal attacks and name-calling, such behavior is not allowed per our SMITH's Terms of Service, http://www.smithmag.net/terms/ (see "SMITH Comments and Discussion Terms of Use"), but we try to do our best to let the community police itself (and I think you do a good job).
Thanks Larry, your approach is working. It would be good though if new members are made aware of this (is it mentioned in 'the welcome to Smith' email sent when we first sign in?).
these six words leapt out from the sermon I heard in church this morning. Thanks Pastor Jodi. (I attend a Baptist church which has two lady ministers on the pastoral team.)We can live with peace and joy no matter...
