I once dropped a class half way through the first class. 20 minutes into the class I just got up and left (others quickly followed). --- Fast forward to the last week and there are only one student took the final exam -- and she told me later she failed it.

I stuck it out-mostly curious. Privately, in her office, nice lady. Studied my butt off for exams. Took final, but thought i failed. Grades were posted, made a B+. There is a moral to this. Never believe all that you hear!

I later heard my student had personal problems and took a deferment til next year. If she's in my class next summer, and drops out again, I'll know it's me.
