Bevvie says,

Kudos on the feature! Understand (although my gray is still gray! LOL)

catsmeow says,

Love the memoir. Gave up the camouflage a few years ago and never look back (much).

BanjoDan says,

congrats on the feature!

oopsalittle says,

congrats on MOTD! excellent

jebcrg says,

Congrats on MOTD. Like the ladies above, wearing mine proudly, like a badge.

MGM says,

Congratulations on the MOTD. I stopped camouflaging mine when I was in my late 40's, was then asked if my 70-something uncle was my brother and immediately started again! I'll be like my grandmother and have nice dark hair into my 80's. :-)

notjustagirlintheworld says,

I am with you MGM. I was at the hospital when my slightly younger best friend gave birth to her third child, 13 years ago holding the baby when a young man delivered flowers to her looked at me and said, "are you the grandma?" I Started coloring my hair almost immediately, and never looked back. There are somethings you CAN cover up with lipstick and powder.

Contemplative says,

Congrats too! Grays becoming more prominent. Had highlights a few years ago, way too expensive for my current budget. Do it yourself kits would probably turn my hair orange knowing my talent. Over-the-counter hair dyes are one of the most commonly stole/shoplifted items at Target according to the Loss Prevention department. Guess some people get a little crazed. Either way, gray or colored, wishing you unfaded happiness.

Level1 says,

Congrats on the feature :-) I favorited this when I saw it the other day. I had the idea to let me grey grown in a few years ago, then I saw some photograhs of myself and had second thoughts. Maybe when I am in my 60s I'll give it another try.

three-monkeys says,

Congrats on the MOTD! Mine's highlighted blonde, which is much easier for camo purposes. :)

RedStickWriter says,

Nice memoir. Personally, I'm sticking with the color I'm earning and feel blessed that for the most part it's turning gray more than it's turning loose. Sticking with what's natural is the way I roll. I'm a Southern boy transplanted to the Midwest. Many folks I know who live up here but hale from below the Mason-Dixon have worked hard to lose their Southern accents. I'm keeping mine. Yankees and Midwesterners seem to hang on your words when you talk like me. Lewis Grizzard used to say, "God talks like we do." I believe that.

weirdo says,

Try John Frieda color mousse, it covers my grey skunk stripe, gentle too.
I'm too young to be grey, at heart, at least.

grenadine says,

How true! How true! and how honest... wouldn't it be nice if the song went "gentlemen prefer greys"?

notjustagirlintheworld says,

Thanks Grenadine. It's not about the gentlemen for me it's about the gal in mirror to paraphrase 3 monkeys paraphrasing michael jackson.
