Love this.

Never heard of this person/poet. Is he published?

seagem45 says,

One of the greats of the last generation of American poets - Eleven books of poetry - and an international reputation. Collected in numerous anthologies - He's truly a voice for the ages - Known for his command of forms and playful use and recreation of them, his sardonic wit coupled with his lyrical power. Writes - or wrote - a lot of long poems - sometimes laugh-out-loud funny. See the Best of American Poetry blog website for info and tributes. http://thebestamericanpoetry.typepad.com/the_best_american_poetry/
The New School just established a prize in his name. He's so worth knowing - I envy you your first experience of his work.
