I quit in 2005. For a while I couldn't read without nodding off. That probably had to do with not doing coffee for a while to prevent cigarette urges... hard for a Louisiana native. Without having to go out to smoke, I can almost do winter in KC without a coat. Society invited me back into the fold. Instead of smoking after making the beast with two backs, you can ditto. Oh, I can afford more of everything else in life. I now smell stale smoke on smokers returning from smoke breaks, yet I'll can still enjoy walking pretty close to someone who is puffing a live one on the sidewalk... cheap thrill.
these six words leapt out from the sermon I heard in church this morning. Thanks Pastor Jodi. (I attend a Baptist church which has two lady ministers on the pastoral team.)We can live with peace and joy no matter...

I love the listlessness of your memoir. Cheer up and give yourself a pat on the back! You've managed a tough feat, and you'll live longer.
