L2L3 says,

Duh.

marymc says,

20 year olds with tattoos usually turn 50 at some point.....

L2L3 says,

50 wouldn't be the usual starting point though.

marymc says,

I got a piercing at 35. I split the difference.

skyrocketjones says,

Are you guys kidding? I've worked with a few 60+ year old women that had them-no joke.

marymc says,

I've designed tattoos. I'd love to learn how to do them, but I can't see myself getting any.

JAD says,

I couldn't do it at any age. Not my thing I guess.

Undermom says,

Huh. 50 year olds are old enough to know what they want. And not to care what youngsters think about it.

MsKillie says,

I didn't know there was a age limit on getting tattoos! Well, I'm 35 and have dozens more planned :) Honestly, I'm surprised people still view them in a such negative light. But I find botox and plastic surgery to be disgusting, so it evens out.

sisterpoet says,

Just because someone is not on your road does not mean they are lost....
No Tats for you/cool beans...Passing judjment on others by your standards/not my style.

skyrocketjones says,

From a health perspective, I think I've heard of some research indicating an increased risk of Hep. C or B, or maybe it was HIV due to the benzene stuff in the ink.

MsKillie says,

The only way you can get any of that is from dirty needles. Real artists use a new needle for every customer.

lgp120 says,

I'm with you JPReese!!

marymc says,

To each his own. I do the art. I admire those able to commit.

L2L3 says,

I don't hear anyone passing judgement on anyone in this conversation. I do feel a slight breeze from a chip teetering on a shoulder. Maybe lighten up?
50 is not, statistically the median starting age for tattoos, though it makes some sense to start then. By the time you're 50, you have a better sense of what you want your label to say at your funeral.

prodigal says,

what's the difference between a wrinkly flabby ass and a wrinkly flabby tattooed ass? When you feel its the time to decorate/commemorate/celebrate someone/something in ink on your body then its time, each to there own.

L2L3 says,

You mean other than being drunk or stoned out of your mind at the time you make that decision? No difference at all.

Loon says,

hey, everybody, just do what you fucking want --- there's plenty of time to worry in your casket...

L2L3 says,

I think it ever so amusing when the boys jump in over their heads like this.

JinLee says,

Great. I like it!!!
