Molly "pitcher" was a young American woman during the Revolutionary war. She was bring pitchers of water to artillery-men as they bombarded a British regiment assaulting American positions. When the crew was killed, she began loading laying and firing the artillery piece, doing the work of a crew of four...she made history.
