Amen! We teach people how to treat us. If someone isn't treating you well, walk away from them, if possible. If not, DEMAND the respect you deserve.

I do. I will not tolerate people speaking to friends and caregivers when they need to talk directly to me.

Dragonflower says,

I had trouble with my dental receptionist today. This is the perfect memoir for my day today! She was talking down to me like I didn't understand, so I told her I was an intelligent patient. She just upped her arrogance and said, "excuse me, you are a what?" I may need to walk away and find a new dentist.

Dragonflower says,

I wrote your memoir on my calendar, Dean! Including the backstory! Thank you.

Dean6805 says,

Thank YOU, DE.
