Backstory

Have you ever noticed in the movies how bad guys, betrayed lovers, criminals on the loose & bankrupt bankers always head SOUTH to Mexico -they rarely flee to CANADA?

That's what I did three decades ago after winning a $9,000 California backpay lawsuit, the result of my blowing the whistle on a famous California resort which had been endangering the health of its workers. I won't mention the name of this Grand ol' Lady who had hosted the likes of Winston Churchill & Bettie Davis, and more recently, while I had been working there as a 'Maintenance Engineer' (read 'janitor' with 5 yrs university education!) I bumped into actor KRIS KRISTOFFERSON (friendy, and SHORT!); even one day finding myself inappropriately squeezed into the guest elevator with WILLIE NELSON (unassuming, humble).

Lost hair from radiation & chemo, but still a hippie....and loving it...
