Mom and dad sleepless. Babygirl rallies.

Backstory

For those who sent up prayers for my friend and her family...thank you. Babygirl is better today, momma says. She slept most of the day yesterday, and most of the night. Which is uncharacteristic for a child with her kind of brain damage, because her brain/body does not require the sleep that the average child might need. Mom and dad spent the night watching her closely, barely resting themselves, but today she is more herself and they are very grateful.

SO glad to read this good news! are there friends who can "spell" mom and dad at watching over her so they can get some sleep?

notjustagirlintheworld says,

don't ask me how, but it works

accidentaltourist says,

They have teenagers who are good with the baby....they can spell the parents as needed. She is much loved in that family. Mom and dad will rest as soon as they feel "safe" doing it. It's hard when your little one is sick. My friend said her biggest fear since they brought this sweet baby home was realized when her husband came to her with the child in his arms and said, "something is wrong."

But today, things are good. And I do believe that the prayers helped. So again, thank you.

I love stories with hope and love - many hugs and prayers cannot possibly hurt:-)
