Before, low self-esteem. Now, feeling confident

Backstory

Growing up, it seemed as though I was always picked on. My self-esteem was at an all time low. Call it the awkward stage of growing up. I rarely felt like I was part of a group, and usually felt pretty alone. I've heard the saying "Attitude changes everything", I took that little saying and put it to the test. I was shy, and made an effort to be a little more outgoing once I hit my early 20's. Things were looking up. I was gaining respect and making new friends. Maybe it was a maturity thing...who knows? I was shedding the old me. Years later, I'm much more confident, and while I'm still the nerd of my circle of friends, I feel good about myself. Attitude really DOES change things.

I understand your journey to confidence. Many of us take the long way to achieve this state. I am glad that I was a late bloomer.

it's not the path you take but where you arrive that counts, glad to know you know you are "all that."
