Couldn't revive the Hemingway discussion today.

Backstory

The memoir students are reading A Moveable Feast right now, and they don't know how to talk about it. Even they said they don't know how to talk about it. I asked, "We don't know we are recording history when we are living it. So what does Hemingway's memoir capture about Paris? About the time? About his friends and contemporaries? About himself?" (hmmmm)

I think we were the lost generation.
