"or seen the beauty of another"

Backstory

"...if I have thought evil, or seen the beauty of another and been wounded thereby in my heart... ...for all of this and more than this have I done..."

Shame on me for being wounded by the beauty in someone else's life. That things are turning out so well and that everything is looking up. That now that they have their perfect house, they're looking for their perfect dog to go with their perfect family.

I'm ashamed for wanting it so badly that I can barely tolerate being there.

Hieronimo has a very valid point. Human.

also, i really don't believe you'd be feeling this way if your situation weren't so fraught with stress. if you and nathaniel and constantine were settled in your own place and your circumstances were secure, i think you'd be able to be wholeheartedly happy for your sister without comparing her situation to yours. praying that things get better for you very soon.
