A long time ago I worked with a woman who had been married to the same man for a long time (probably as long as I have been married now but then it was (almost) quite literally my lifetime)who always introduced her first and only husband as 'my current husband.' After 22 years of marriage I totally get it -- keeps him on his toes, that and the occasional reminder that I *am* his trophy wife. It's not easy but in my humble opinion it's worth it.
