Some days, it's the little things.
Backstory
My son called. He had been in line at the grocery store and noticed the woman behind him in line had suffered horrible burns. He paid for his purchases and hung around til she had paid. Then he helped her take her groceries out to her car and load them in. They talked. She was told she wouldn't survive the explosion that maimed her. They said she'd never walk again. She was so happy she proved them wrong. She was so happy for every day she got to enjoy. She thanked him and told him that his mama had raised him right. My boy was crying as he told me this. After we hung up, I cried. We both needed to hear from this remarkable woman. I believe angels show up in various forms. We just need to be aware. by marymc in Six-Word Memoirs on Jan 31, 2013 |
