Backstory
OK, here goes! I've been on the path of "one and done" for many, many years. There are a million things I have left to do in my life and I've never been the stay at home mom type. I need my independance and freedom or I can't thrive. Well, I found my soul mate three years ago and we have the most amazing love I've ever had in my life. We had the "talk" a few nights ago about our future, our plans to move down South, and maybe a baby!! It was the sweetest, most romantic conversation of all time :) We think the timing would be perfect right around when my son graduates from HS- then we are still only raising one at a time sort of. My son has always wanted a baby bro or sis, so his dream may just come true! He does think it will be funny to be around 19-20 years older than the baby, but I think it will work out just as it was always meant to.

That sounds like an AMAZING talk. Good for you, MsKillie. Wish you every happiness!MsKillie says,
Thanks everyone! It was an amazing talk, my man is the best. It is exciting to think of a future that includes a mini us :) Looking back I think that a huge part of my hesitation about having more kids was the fact that I've never been with someone who I felt was worthy enough to be a father to my children before now. Deadend dudes don't make good dads!Believe says,
Having children doesn't mean losing your freedom and independence. Just teach your child to be free and independent by example! Lovely news.Wench says,
MsKillie, I was dead-set against having a baby until I just... wanted one. There was no explaining it. I'm with you, I greatly value my independence, but finding a guy who I know supports me and has my back really changed my mind. It sounds like you have such a great guy for you who understands your personality, your concerns and your needs and is totally on board with you. Sounds great!!
