Are we home yet? Almost. Maybe.
Backstory
Nathaniel finally got through to unemployment again and told them that he's still not received the pin they were supposed to send months ago, and then two weeks ago after he last spoke with a representative. Turns out, they had his address wrong. Also, they were only going to let him file for the past six weeks. The woman he spoke with most recently was way more helpful and actually offered to put through some sort of appeal to receive the unemployment from the time he originally filed - in October. It really has been going on four months since we've had any source of reliable income at all.
The six weeks came in a few days ago and we were finally able to pay off our last month's rent at our old apartment - not a minute too soon, since they'd just sent us a letter saying that if we didn't pay by the end of the month, they would sue us for the entire year's rent. And there just wasn't anywhere to get the money from.
Today, the remaining backpay showed up in our account as well. We now have almost enough to move into an apartment with first, last and security. We just need the damn job... Nathaniel's interview was a week and a half ago. When he called, they said they still haven't decided who they're hiring. In the meantime, he's kept on applying for jobs and filled out the FAFSA for nursing school.
At this point, we've done pretty much everything available to us. We've done a lot of waiting and now we have to do some more. It's frustrating, knowing that the money is sitting right there and we're so close to getting out - but we are one step closer. Deep breaths.

The money in the account is a huge step in the right direction. I'd suggest patience, but I know you are already being way more patient than I would ever be in your situation.Wench says,
Patience is still our only option. Just a frustrating one! =)catsmeow says,
Frustration only begins to describe what I'd be feeling, in your shoes.
